Those of you men who use the wonderful Mach3 Razor may be interested to know that Gillette has released news that the it plays on introducing an all new shaving system called “Fusion” - which is expected to be a billion dollar product by the year 2008 according to Peter Hoffman, president of the razor/blade unit at Gillette.

So what is Fusion? It is a wet-shaving system that has more features than the M3 Turbo and M3Power blades. Gillette also plans to release a line of shaving creams and gels along with their new line of Fusion razors. James Kilts, who is Gillette’s CEO calls Fusion “the future of shaving” that produces a nuclear reaction to create power.

The all new Fusion system is expected to hit the market in 2006 with big plans on promotion and marketing for the product. Hoffman stated that when it hits the market it will be a “blockbuster marketing program” in history. During tests performed, 60% of the men who tried the Fusion razor and Mach3, preferred Fusion.

Interesting indeed, I personally love the Mach3 Razor and can’t wait until Fusion hits the market - it sounds cool and Gillette makes the best shaving razors PERIOD.
